- I work as an Ornithologist for a consultancy in Yorkshire, UK. Work gets me birding in a great range of locations and invariably leads to some interesting avian discoveries, or sat behind a computer writing about/researching birds. I've been living in Yorkshire for the last 12 years, currently in North Duffield, a small village located within the Lower Derwent Valley NNR/SPA - a spectacular birding location. I’m the York Ornithological Club’s ‘Bird Recorder’. Originally from Warwickshire, I have been birding for 24 years all over the world, spending time living in Kenya and Costa Rica and regularly birding in the Neotropics, Afrotropics and Oriental regions, which I love! I’m out birding pretty much all the time one place or another and this blog details my trips in the UK/further afield. Thanks for reading and I hope you like what you see.
