Spot Fly Nest
Not a lot of birding from me recently as I've been a bit too busy, though I did have a nice local walk on Sunday where I found a pair of Spotted Flycatchers with a nest with 5 young. A quick call to one of the local ringers who's monitoring the site and the job was done. Always nice to find Spot Flys these days.

The cheapest 12 lifers...
Lack of posts for a while has been a result of being flat out with work, planning my next birding trip (Thailand in December), York Ornithological Club commitments, some local birding, and bringing my 'Life List' up to date, incorporating my latest trip (Malaysia) and finally going through a raft of taxonomic changes based on various published splits (and a few lumps). The result of this is that I got 12 'lifers' while sat in my kitchen last week! You really cannot beat an armchair tick - or 12!
