I hate having to go shopping into Selby but occasionally I have to, however this weekends trip was almost bearable due to cracking views of a Hobby chasing Swifts right over the town centre! Always an impressive sight. This is my second Hobby in the York recording area this year, however the first was rather over-shadowed by the massive (almost record beating) passage of Arctic Terns.
It was a beautiful morning and I made the most of it and was out at 5 enjoying the sunrise and dawn chorus, warblers and waders singing away, even saw the sun for the first time in an age.
