Indian Animals

So, as you can tell from the 6 month gap in posts things have again been rather hectic... after this amazing set of Indian trips (see previous posts) I headed over to the US - Ohio and Michigan with details of that trip to follow soon, along with another bash around South America, this time Peru, Colombia, and Ecuador..... lots to come.

But for now, here's some of the non-avian treats we had as we visited the northwest, south, and northeast of the wonderfully diverse country of India.....

Asiatic Lion - this male came walking straight towards us, spectacular moment in Gir National Park and (along with Great Indian Bustard) was one of the main reasons for heading into the northwest of the country

Indian Leopard - amazing views

Asiatic Lion - enjoyed watching this lioness and cubs

Asiatic Wild Ass - a beautiful creature
