On my August-October 2019 mega trip round Australia I visited lots of great places and Alice Springs was one such spot.
It was particularly dry this year but loads of target birds fell nicely into place. Some of the highlight birds here included: Spinifex Pigeon, Dusky Grasswren, Black-breasted Buzzard, Bourke's Parrot, Western Bowerbird, Diamond Dove, Red-browed Pardalote, Grey Honeyeater, Grey-headed Honeyeater, Black Honeyeater, White-fronted Honeyeater, Crested Bellbird, Splendid Fairywren, Crimson Chat, Slaty-backed Thornbill, White-backed Swallow, and Hooded Robin
After the time in the desert we headed north to Darwin - such an amazing city for birding and we then moved along to the stunning Kakadu National Park. Check next post for more on that...
